Figuring out your wedding registry must-haves can be tough! There is SO. MUCH. to choose from and you might not even know what you like when it comes to all of the kitchenware and home items. It is a lot easier when you have the basics done and then you can fill in from there. The basics are things that are the most useful or higher ticket items that you wouldn’t jump to buy yourself.

In case you’re really lost (or overwhelmed or frustrated) check out this post for the ultimate wedding registry checklist. Everything is separated into categories so you can actually see your thoughts on paper. If you’re at the beginning of building your registry, you’re in the right place! These are the ultimate wedding registry must-haves!

This post is all about wedding registry must-haves.

1. Bedding Set

A nice bedding set is an absolute MUST, you spend so much time in your bed and it should be a soothing sanctuary! So go ahead and put the perfect bedding set on your list, the people you love want to treat you and this is the time you’re able to ask for things a little out of the ordinary. Do you need pillows? A duvet cover? Add them all! Here are a few of the best bedding and sheet sets I’ve found:

2. Cookware Set

A basic cookware set is a great place to start and then you can build your collection based on what you use the most or may need more of. I have been really into the nontoxic cookware lately, these are some great options to add to your wedding registry!

3. Cast Iron Skillet

Cast iron skillets are a dream for those who love to cook. We’re talking the perfect browned chicken, the most goey cookie skillet, and AMAZING cornbread. This is another versatile kitchen pan that will literally last FOREVER if you take care of it.

4. Aspen Baker Set

This Aspen Baker Set from Crate and Barrel has been a lifesaver! The small dishes are the perfect size when cooking for two and are great for entertaining! You’ll be glad you added them to your list.

5. KitchenAid Stand Mixer

If the KitchenAid Stand Mixer isn’t the first thing every girl adds to their wedding registry I don’t know what is. There are so many colors to choose from whether you want to go for a classic color to match your decor or use it as a statement piece.

6. Hand Mixer

BUT YOU NEED to add the hand mixer too! A hand mixer is perfect for those quick jobs like shredding chicken, making mashed potatoes, or any of your baking needs. You’ll be glad you have something that is easy to clean up rather than having to lug out the big stand mixer every time you need something. It’s nice to have options.

7. Blender

This is another one of those staple kitchen items that will last FOREVER! There are so many good ones out there now, whether you’re looking for the mother of all blenders like the Vitamix or the more aesthetically pleasing Beast Blender. I have heard great things about this Ninja, it is so versatile and doubles as a food processor.

8. Toaster Oven

This toaster oven quickly became our most used appliance! It is so convenient and heats up quickly. They are the best for warming up leftovers, toasting the perfect bagel, and this one even has an air-fry setting.

9. Slow Cooker

A. MUST. on everyone’s registry! You will use a slow cooker over and over again for parties, for one-pan meals, for quick dinners, and the potluck at work. If you want to get fancy, go for the instant pot, this one has so many functions even a sous vide!

10. Duralex Glass Bowls

These Duralex Glass Bowls are the most versatile mixing bowl and you’ll get so many sizes for all of your cooking and baking needs. So it’s kind of like getting 10 gifts in one…kind of haha. They are pretty enough to use for serving and durable enough for the heavy mixing! You can’t go wrong with these.

11. Glass Food Storage Set

Glass food storage containers are THE BEST! You don’t have to worry about chemicals getting transferred from plastic to your food, they last forever, and don’t get stained when you leave last night’s spaghetti sauce in the fridge for too long. These containers are perfect for leftovers or meal prepping your lunch.

12. Garlic Press

Ever try to mince garlic without one of these bad boys? You’ll be chopping little tiny pieces forever…ask me how I know. I use garlic a lot in my house it is the perfect addition to every recipe and makes your house smell amazing. The fresh stuff always makes a HUGE difference and a garlic press makes all the difference. Here are some of the best-rated garlic presses around:

13. Knife Set

A great knife set will last you years, even decades if you take care of them properly! If you’re not looking to splurge the absolute essentials for your kitchen are steak knives, a chef’s knife (maybe two of these…you’ll use em A LOT), a Santoku knife, and a serrated knife! There are beautiful knife storage options like this one if you just want the basics. Here are some of the best knife block sets:

14. Vacuum

Not the most glamorous thing for your list, but you need a vacuum either way. There are some fun ones, like the Bissell Iconpet Edge, gosh I wish I put a cordless vacuum on my list! The cord really makes vacuuming a hassle. Or maybe you’re into the robot vacuums? Hey, whatever keeps the house clean! Throw one of these on your list, you’ll be happy you did.

15. Something Fun that You’d Have a Hard Time Buying Yourself

Of course, you need all of the basics and essentials, but throw a few things on your registry that you ABSOLUTELY LOVE, things you are giddy over or have always dreamed of having! Don’t forget to mark these things as “most loved” or “favorites” so your guests know which items are at the top of your list. Here are some fun items to add to your wedding registry:
